Youth Service launch new sessions for young people

St Helens Council’s Youth Service has launched new sessions across the
borough, offering young people safe and welcoming spaces to chill with
friends, take part in a range of fun activities, and a chance to chat to
staff about any issues they may be having.

On a Wednesday evening from 7-9pm, the Youth Service will be delivering a Seniors Youth session for young people aged 11-17 in the Citadel, where youngsters will be given the opportunity to have their say about the
activities on offer – while also on Wednesday evening, and Friday nights –
Seniors Youth sessions will also be held from the Phyllis Pope Studio in
Victoria Park.

St Helens Council’s Cabinet Member for Children, Families and Young People, Councillor Andy Bowden, said: “St .Helens Youth Service offers a broad spectrum of programmes and activities that have been specifically tailored to meet the needs and requirements of all 11-17 year olds from across the district, ranging from drama, music, sports, and volunteering
opportunities.”

“These free sessions provide young people with opportunities, as they go
through adolescence, to develop on a social and personal level.”
