The Mayor and Mayoress of St Helens, Councillors Steve and Lynn Glover were joined by Santa, his elves and loyal red nosed reindeer, Rudolph, as St Mary’s Market Market stepped back in time to mark the Christmas countdown at its lights switch on.
Complete with bell ringers courtesy of Maghull Parish Hand Bell Ringers,
and town crier, Barry McQueen, there was certainly a Victorian Christmas
feel about the place.
Calling all Frozen fans, don’t miss the Makers Market on Saturday 12
December for your chance to have your picture taken with Elsa and the gang.
Meanwhile, on Saturday 19 December, Santa, his elves and Rudolph will
return to St Mary’s Market for the Makers Market, where he will be
available to hear all your Christmas wishes.
